This issue is centered around God’s relationship with His family. We learn of the important purposes of genealogies - giving us glimpses into how God related to His family in the past. We learn more about adoption and how God has adopted us into his family. We learn more about God’s relationship with Israel and His future kingdom. And we learn that as part of God’s family, we need to follow Jesus - even when it’s countercultural.
